A Life Well Lived

Michael Jack Schroeder, 76, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Silver Springs, Florida, surrounded by family.

Michael was born March 29, 1949, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Patricia and Jack Schroeder. He grew up in Wisconsin and attended Abbot Pennings High School in De Pere.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later continued his service in the reserves, including time with the U.S. Navy Seabees in Sheboygan and the Army National Guard in Plymouth. He was especially proud of his time with the Seabees.

In 1972, Michael began his professional career by starting Schroeder Brothers with his brothers Scott and Christopher. The business reflected the entrepreneurial spirit that would stay with him throughout his life. Later, in 2009, he joined his father's firm, Jack Schroeder and Associates, where he worked until retiring.

Michael was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. Family meant everything to him. He was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and the quiet way he showed care for the people around him.

He enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including motorcycling, cars, photography, RC airplanes, and karate. Michael had a natural curiosity and loved working with his hands, always exploring how things worked and how they could be improved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Jack Schroeder, and his daughter, Morgan Schroeder.

Michael is survived by his wife, Mary Schroeder; his children, James Schroeder (Joy), Alan Schroeder, and Erin Mueller; his brothers, Patrick, Christopher, Scott, Brian, and Shawn Schroeder; and his six grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched along the way.
